Each year, the annual Eshkol Hazahav – Israeli Wine Awards competition is held.<\/p>\n

This year, 1848 Winery is pleased to announce that we have won two major awards! Our 1848 Winery Cabernet Franc 2018 \u2013 5th Generation<\/strong> won the highest prize possible \u2013 a Gold Medal! Also, our 1848 Winery Chardonnay 2019<\/strong> \u2013 2nd<\/sup>Generation<\/strong> won a Silver Medal!<\/p>\n

A little about the award winning wines:<\/p>\n

1848 Winery Cabernet Franc 2018<\/u> \u2013 5th<\/sup> Generation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Deep purple in color, with aromas of strawberries, raspberries with hints of green pepper and herbs. It is full bodied with rich flavors. It is aged 14 months in small French oak barrels.<\/p>\n

1848 Winery Chardonnay 2019<\/u> \u2013 2nd<\/sup> Generation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

This is a light straw color, with aromas of white flowers and citrus and hints of peach and fresh apricot. The wine is unoaked in order to preserve the fruit and acidity.<\/p>\n
